How We Are Dealing With The Coronavirus

We think of PulseTV as more than an e-commerce company, we are a family. Many of our employees have been with us since we started over twenty years ago. We are taking precautions as a company and wanted to share with you what we are doing.

First, we are communicating every day about washing hands for 20 seconds or more. Throughout the office we have hand sanitizers strategically placed. In addition, we have handed out products from our stock that is geared to kill most viruses. This includes disinfectants like Miracle Clean Spray Pens.** This allows everyone to spray and then wipe their desks and work areas.

What is necessary is diligence and introducing new habits. Stop touching one’s face is a critical habit to break. And one of the most important things to do at work, and home, is to keep your phone clean. We handed out our Anti-Viral and Anti-Bacterial Disinfectant Foam by Zagg ** so that people could clean computers, laptops, phones, etc.

For our warehouse, vinyl gloves have been distributed. But don’t worry, the Coronavirus cannot live on surfaces more than 14 days and all products are essentially quarantined for 4 weeks to make sure they are safe for the thousands of PulseTV customers. We’ve also made the 50 Pairs of Disposable Vinyl Gloves** available to PulseTV customers.

And with Coronavirus, and flu season still here, hand sanitizer has disappeared from store shelves. Don’t drive from store to store searching for it – Just Order It! 1) Stock up on Vitamin C and Vitamin D
2) If disinfectant wipes are not available, you can put vodka on a paper towel or rag and wipe surfaces. Rubbing alcohol as well will work, but that is in short supply.
3) Mix vinegar and lemon juice and put on a rag. Sprinkle table salt and this becomes a great cleanser. Make sure you wipe off the surface to dry.
4) Even if there are no “N-95” masks, use any mask to wear that will keep you from touching your face, even if it does not filter the virus itself.
5) Stay home if you have a cough. Be vigilant to not infect others too.
6) Avoid shaking hands for the next 3 or 4 months. Consider fist bumps.
7) Avoid public gatherings whenever possible.

DVDs and Blu-Rays and CDs, Oh, My!

With the streaming age upon us physical media is becoming a thing of the past.

Books, CDs, records, tapes, DVDs, even Blu-Rays are all forms of media that are being abandoned for tablets, smartphones, and other devices.
The convenience of gaining access to, purchasing, and enjoy an endless supply of entertainment is quite enticing, but come on, you don’t really own that media…think of it more as a rental. We may be a small family company, but we have a big heart. That is always the case when it comes to supporting members of our team.

Today, being Valentine’s Day, is the perfect day to share this story with you. Maureen, one of our number-crunchers, asked the office to join her in support of “Go Red for Women”.

“Go Red for Women” is the American Heart Association’s initiative to increase heart awareness. Heart disease is the number one threat to women and 80% of heart events are preventable. Maureen asked us to wear red to honor those we’ve lost, and to support those who survive, thrive, and inspire, like her daughter Caitlin, who’s been living with heart disease since her diagnosis of long QT at age 16.

As you can see from the photo our hearts go out in support of Maureen and Caitlin. We care about each here no matter what. And that’s what makes PulseTV a great family!

Gearing up for the holidays.

For the rest of the world, the big holidays including Christmas are still months off, but for retailers Christmas is right around the corner. Here at PulseTV.com we have already started gearing up for the fourth quarter.

In the last couple months we have sent our team of buyers to the big ASD consumer trade show in Las Vegas, the Consumer Electronics show, also in Vegas, and our own local show, the TMC Merchandise Show in Rosemont, Illinois.

And they discovered some great products we are really excited to introduce to our customers.

We have had tremendous success with the Streak Free Cloths we have been carrying for years, and we have found something we hope is going to be just as big. They are called ‘Dura-Fresh’ cloths and they are made from natural wood fiber. That makes them completely natural, non-toxic and even compostable, but the great thing is that simply rinsing them in hot tap water eliminates 99.9 percent of germs and bacteria. That makes them perfect for use in the kitchen for clean up or as dish cloths.

We also found something we think is going to be a hit with homeowners. It is a light up sign box.
